Mark Long is a New York Times bestselling author and prolific creator/producer of video games, graphic novels and feature films. Prior to founding Meteor, Long was founder and Co-CEO of Zombie Studios. Long has served on a number of advisory boards and committees including the University of Washington, the Producer’s Guild in Hollywood and the National Science Foundation. Long had a R&D career that spanned three laboratories: the Sarnoff Research Center, the Institute for Advanced Technology, and the CASE Laboratory. Long received his BS at the University of Texas, where he also received his commission in the US Army.

Torrie Dorrell is an experienced leader who has 20+ years’ experience in the entertainment industry, 13 years specifically in games. She has overseen development through launch of games across almost all genres, platforms and business models; and has been at the forefront of the new paradigms in MMOs, mobile, social and F2P. Before joining Meteor, Torrie oversaw most of T-Mobile’s Value-added Services team as VP of Applications, Content & Games; and was also responsible for digital stores, mobile payments and cloud services. Prior to T-Mobile, Torrie served as SVP of Global Sales & Marketing for Sony Online Entertainment (SOE), where she also oversaw Web Presence, Community and Corporate Communications/PR. Before SOE, Torrie was founder and GM of Black Label Games at Vivendi Universal (now Activision Blizzard), as well as VP of Corporate Marketing. Earlier in her career, she ran family record labels for Disney, Warner Bros. and Rhino Entertainment, where she launched many careers and award-winning recordings. Torrie graduated with a BA in Journalism at Pepperdine University.

PAULA CUNEO

Paula Cuneo is an industry vet with a broad range of experience in the gaming space across Production, Licensing, Talent Management, Business Development, Corporate Alliances, Promotional Partnerships and Advertising. Before joining Meteor, Paula was at Digital Development Management (DDM), in a variety of roles including Lead Agent and Director of Business Development for Mass Market games. Prior to DDM Paula was at Massive where she held the title of Director of Business Development and was responsible for managing the company’s product placement and business development initiatives. Before Massive, Cuneo spent several years at Activision, Inc. where she launched their in-game advertising business, served as a producer with a focus on casual games, and worked on licensing for sports athletes and endemic sponsors. Cuneo received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California and did her graduate work at Tufts University.

BILL WAGNER

Bill Wagner is our Door Gunner and CPO for Meteor Entertainment. Bill has sharpened his precision aiming skills at Microsoft for the last six years with the honor of having produced one of the fastest downloaded and most played Xbox LIVE Arcade games in the history of the service. Bill’s downloadable games have reached over 6.5M players in less than 12 months on Xbox LIVE. As well Bill helped ship Microsoft’s game development platform, XNA Game Studio to over 1M customers in the platform’s first 6 months. Prior to working in games, Bill spent over 12 years in the film industry working on set and in visual effects. Bill worked at Creative Artists Agency helping to keep all of CAA’s clients up to speed on the latest technologies for film visual effects, television, and games. Bill also spent 5 years at Silicon Graphics as 3D artist, 2D Film Compositor and all around support for Silicon Graphics’ film clientele in Hollywood.

Sarah Novotny has run large scale technology infrastructures as a Systems Engineer and a Database administrator for companies such as Amazon.com and the ill-fated Ads.com. In 2001, she founded Blue Gecko, a remote database administration company with two peers from Amazon. Blue Gecko managed databases around the world for clients large and small and was acquired by DatAvail in 2012. Novotny regularly talks about infrastructure as a service, infrastructure automation and geek lifestyle. She is additionally a Program Chair for O’Reilly Media’s OSCON.

BILL WRIGHT

Bill Wright is a deeply experienced CTO of more than 30 titles including the Spec Ops series, Shadow Ops and Saw games. Prior to becoming CTO at Meteor Entertainment, he spent over 14 years at Zombie, Inc as Technical Director. Wright studied Computer Science at the University of Washington and served as a submariner in the US Navy, his military experience and technical background preparing him for a career in military and sci-fi shooters. He has experience with many game engines from early Zombie’s Viper engine to Lithtech, Gamebryo, Wild Tangent, Torque, Unity and the Unreal Engine suite on multiple platforms including the PC, Xbox and Xbox360, PS2 and PS3, iOS and Android.

KIM HARLE

Kim Harle has been in the video game industry since 2000. Prior to joining Meteor Entertainment, Kim was at Massive, a wholly owned subsidiary of Microsoft, where she developed green-light strategy, P&L modeling, and PC core game monetization best practices for in-game advertising. Kim has 6 years of experience at Activision, where she headed up business intelligence and marketing analytics efforts for global brand management. Kim has also worked in games focused finance, providing sales-side equity research on the interactive entertainment sector for Susquehanna International Group.

THOMAS WONG
VP, Business Development

Thomas Wong is a game industry expert in international strategy and expansion, deal contract negotiation and analysis, monetization, and financial modeling. Prior to joining Meteor Entertainment, Thomas spent 2.5 years at Zynga as International Strategy Manager, and facilitated Zynga’s China and Japan market entry with Tencent and Softbank partnerships respectively. Moreover, Thomas pioneered Zynga’s first geo-IP report, enabling Zynga to track metrics by country, and implemented localized currency display, pricing, and language. Prior to Zynga, He evaluated multiple Western F2P MMOs’ licensing potential in China at Tencent America. He has also facilitated the extension of EA/Viacom publishing partnership for the Rock Band Franchise at Electronic Arts Partners.

WES HARRIS
VP, TRANSMEDIA PUBLISHING

Wes has spent much of his career developing media companies and finding new ways connect fans with the entertainment they love. Prior to joining Meteor Entertainment, he was VP of Publishing at BOOM! Studios, a top independent comic publisher with titles including Peanuts, Garfield, Adventure Time, and the Eisner Award winners Irredeemable and Snarked. He also served as Director of Product Marketing for VIZ Media, the #1 US publisher of manga and producer of several top shows on Cartoon Network. Wes ran a national online videogame platform as Managing Director for Global VR, a leading arcade game manufacturer. Before that, he founded animation and videogame development studio Secret Weapon, which produced multimedia assets for Electronic Arts and Sony before being acquired by Global VR. As VP of Marketing and Business Development for White Wolf Publishing he helped to grow the company to the #2 spot in the hobby game industry.

GENE BAHNG
DIRECTOR, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Gene Bahng is a veteran leader in game development and publishing who has shipped over 30 titles on console, PC, and mobile over his 14 year career to date. Most recently before joining Meteor, Gene was VP of Production at Autumn Games where he helmed production on Def Jam Rapstar and the critically-acclaimed fighting game – Skullgirls. Prior to Autumn, Gene co-founded the transmedia development studio Massively Mobile where he and his team built a networked mobile game platform that provided complementary content to MMOs. Before founding Massively Mobile, Gene managed Game Production and Licensing at DC Comics, working with partners and licensors on storied franchises like Batman, Superman, and Justice League. Prior to DC, Gene produced a number of games for Activision, developing hit titles for the Tony Hawk, Spider Man, and True Crime franchises.
